Dear Womens,
In this fast-forward life, maintaining a comprehensive lifestyle can be challenging. Especially for a working woman with busy routines, household chores, and personal time can lead to fatigue and stress. Of course, the journey of life demands every ounce of energy with whatever we do, which eventually leaves us with very little energy for ourselves and very little time to refill it. With increasing hurdles and challenges comes anxiety and depression.
Yes, the word depression might be overrated and for many women, the word in itself is a nightmare. Apart from struggling for a successful life, as women, we also need to take care of our psychological well-being as a priority in life. Being happy and mentally strong not only eases us in focusing on all work and responsibilities but also enables us to live a healthier, more peaceful life regularly.
Brief Understanding On Mental Health
Everyone around us is currently busy with their lifestyle, career, and self-growth. But with growing competition, insecurities, and unlimited demands we start doubting our capabilities, focus more on our flaws that give in to anxiety easily. Sometimes even certain comments related to work management, body shaming and, work pressure disturb our mental peace and positivity on a personal and social level. Lack of mental peace and positive energy can never help to handle a complex situation.
Mental Health is crucial - as it helps you keep calm, efficient in tough times, and manages your emotions. Ignoring problems or blaming others or giving in to short-lived stress-coping activities like drinking and smoking won’t help in finding a solution. It has to start from within, and it has to start now.
Working Women & Standard Of Living
According to the sources, women who indulge themselves in a professional career or having jobs are more satisfied than women who are just homemakers.
This only fortifies the fact that the stress is not just because of the job and home responsibilities altogether. If anything, a job or career gives you confidence, a sense of independence, and more satisfaction in life.
So, why do working women struggle with mental peace?
It is mainly because women are often crushed by the pressure which comes along with multiple tasks from personal and professional life. Women have to work twice as men to get the same respect and recognition at work, and they have always been known to contribute more at home than a male partner. Many women struggle from continuous tiredness even after having adequate rest because of their restless minds.
Boosting Psychological Well-Being.
The most frequent question all life coaches are asked is “how to boost our psychological well-being”?
The only answer to this question is “There is no definite answer”. Every person is different so the needs and energy are different. Some enjoy mountains while some beaches, and some prefer nature’s beauty. It depends on what brings them joy and peace. And if you are stuck with negativity and emotional imbalance, then you can seek help from a therapist or a life coach (Relive- Because you matter). They can help you better in identifying what makes you happy and how to engage in activities that bring positive energy and are mentally fit.
For better understanding, here listing down some of the habits and activities that would bring inner peace and add mental strength!
Try Meditation - The most effective technique when it comes to mental health. Some might find it difficult at the beginning to avoid distraction, but if you practice daily, then it will help achieve inner peace and boost your mental strength.
Embrace your emotions - Many women consider showing emotions is a sign of weakness. However, if you embrace your feelings and acknowledge them, then it will become easier for you to deal with it as it comes. Emotions are just a part of human life, so they should be embraced and cherished and not feared.
Practice Self-love - Live your life for yourself and not for others. Being surrounded by the complex situation and people, we generally forget about ourselves. So, you can start with a simple step to practice self-love. Stand in front of a mirror, have a look, and encourage yourself. Find your mantra to motivate yourself.
My mantra is “ Try to compete with yourself, not with others.”
Because, Darling you worth it.
Take a break from routine - For a change of surroundings, many people plan a mini-vacation, leisure trip, or spa visit to rejuvenate, while some choose to volunteer time for a social cause. These temporary escapes from the routine help you come back with fresh energy and more excitement.
Include physical exercise or workout daily if your job demands sitting for long hours. This will help your body and mind active throughout the day. Give some time for walking in the garden or park, cooking something delicious, reading books, or just listening to music. Give yourself time to unwind regularly, and you will notice reduced stress and anxiety.
So, take a deep breath and remember taking a break or stepping out for a while from daily routine is not a crime. When even a machine requires a break from its routine activity to keep working efficiently, we are still human beings.
Relax. Keep Smiling
It’s not a race that you have to win.
Keep your mental and physical well-being as a top priority it will bring more confidence and happiness.
Love,
